Mexican Buñuelos

A baked version of traditional Mexican cinnamon-sugar tortilla crisps. It uses Challenge Spreadable Butter for quick and easy preparation.

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 6 8-inch flour tortillas
  • 3-4 Tablespoons Challenge Spreadable Butter

Directions

    Preheat oven to 400°F, Combine sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl.

    Spread butter on both sides of each tortilla, ¾ to 1 teaspoon per side. Place tortillas on baking sheet.

  • 3

    Sprinkle the top of each tortilla with cinnamon sugar (1½ -2 teaspoons). Cut into wedges or strips with a pizza wheel. Bake 8-10 minutes or until crisp.
