Ingredients

Chicken

  • 1½ pounds chicken tenders
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

Honey Mustard Butter

  • 4 tablespoons Challenge Salted Butter
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard

Directions

  • 1

Preheat the grill to medium-high heat, about 400–425°F. Oil the grates.

  • 2

Pat the chicken tenders dry with paper towels. Add them to a large bowl with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, and black pepper. Toss until evenly coated.

  • 3

Make the honey mustard butter. In a small saucepan over medium-low heat, melt the Challenge Salted Butter. Whisk in the honey, Dijon mustard, and yellow mustard until smooth and glossy.

  • 4

Transfer some of the honey mustard butter to a separate small bowl for brushing the chicken on the grill. Reserve the remaining sauce for serving.

  • 5

Grill the chicken tenders for 3–4 minutes on the first side. Flip and grill for another 3–4 minutes, until almost cooked through.

  • 6

During the last 1–2 minutes of grilling, brush the chicken tenders with the honey mustard butter and turn once or twice, just until glossy and lightly caramelized.

  • 7

Transfer the chicken tenders to a platter and drizzle or brush with the reserved honey mustard butter. Serve warm.

Notes

  • Brush the honey mustard butter on toward the end of grilling so the honey caramelizes without burning.
  • For food safety, keep the sauce used for brushing separate from the sauce reserved for serving.
  • These are great with grilled vegetables, corn, potatoes, salad, or tucked into buns or wraps.
