Chocolate Chip Cheese Ball

Now that we’re full-swing into the holiday season, it’s nice to have recipes and ingredients on hand that can easily be put together for entertaining! One of my favorites is this Chocolate Chip Cheese Ball recipe!

This Chocolate Chip Cheese Ball makes a great addition to the holiday table! It’s a nice change of pace from the traditional holiday fare and people LOVE it! It’s quick and easy to put together using a few common ingredients, including Challenge Cream Cheese and Challenge Butter. Serve it with your favorite sugar cookies, vanilla wafers, graham crackers, or animal crackers.

This Chocolate Chip Cheese Ball is such a hit with our family and friends, that it is required at our holiday gathering. Try it, it just may become a new tradition for your family as well!

Recipe

Ingredients

  1. 1 package (8oz) Challenge Cream Cheese, softened
  2. ½ cup (1 stick) Challenge Butter, softened
  3. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  4. ¾ cup powdered sugar
  5. 2 Tablespoons packed brown sugar
  6. ¾ cup mini semi-sweet chocolate chips
  7. ¾ cup chopped pecans
  8. Sugar cookies, vanilla wafers, graham crackers, and/or animal crackers

Directions

    In a large mixing bowl, combine the Challenge Cream Cheese, Challenge Butter, and vanilla with an electric mixer until fluffy. Add both sugars and mix well. Fold in chocolate chips. Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours.

    Shape cream cheese mixture into a ball. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate an additional 1 hour.

    Uncover the cheese ball and roll in pecans before serving. Serve with sugar cookies, vanilla wafers, graham crackers, and/or animal crackers.
