Crisp Waffles with Berries
Savor your sunrise with this traditional breakfast pleasure. Topped with melting butter and mixed berries, you'll be reminded why it's a classic morning favorite.
Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 1¾ cups milk
- ½ cup (1 stick) butter, melted
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 Tablespoon sugar
- ½ teaspoon salt
Directions
Heat waffle iron. Beat eggs in medium bowl, using hand beater, until fluffy: beat in remaining ingredients just until smooth. Pour batter from cup or pitcher onto center of hot waffle iron. Bake about 5 minutes or until steaming stops. Remove waffle carefully. Serve with butter, berries and maple syrup.
Yield: 4 servings; Four (8-inch) waffles
