Cheese and Green Onion Biscuits

Ingredients

  1. 2 cups all-purpose flour
  2. 2 teaspoons baking powder
  3. ½ teaspoon salt
  4. ¼ teaspoon baking soda
  5. ¼ cup (½ stick) Challenge Butter
  6. 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  7. ¼ cup finely chopped green onions
  8. 1 cup low-fat buttermilk

Directions

  1. Step 1

    Preheat oven to 400°F.

  2. Step 2

    Grease baking sheet.

  3. Step 3

    Combine flour, baking powder, salt and baking soda. Cut in butter with a pastry blender or 2 knives until mixture resembles coarse meal.

  4. Step 4

    Stir in grated cheese, green onions and buttermilk, stirring just until flour mixture is moist.

  5. Step 5

    Drop batter by heaping Tablespoons onto baking sheet.

  6. Step 6

    Bake for 15 minutes or until lightly browned.

This recipe for, " Cheese and Green Onion Biscuits", is ideal as an accompaniement for any dinner recipe. Make these for a hungry Dad, Husband, or a Series of Children and/or Friends. Ask Lady Friends to come for a High-Tea in the Evening around 3-4 in the late Afternoon. Serve with a favorite Tea, and a few sweet treats, too. Enjoy!!! :-)
